The Learn to Swim Instructors are integral members of The ARC Team and have daily duties of the following:
- Plan and deliver high quality swimming lessons
- Deliver instruction according to student’s skill level, age and learning capabilities
- Maintain required qualifications
- Supervise the students in your Learn to Swim classes
- Complete required administration requirements specific to the Learn to Swim programs
- Attend training sessions and staff meetings, as set out by the Centre and Aquatic teams
- Assist in advising matters to do with swim teaching/swim coaching and other appropriate matters
- Record student attendance and complete assessments and certificates for each student as required
- Ensure the maintenance of equipment, cleanliness of the storage area and setting up and putting away of all equipment required for lessons is maintained
- Ensure a high level of professionalism and customer service
Qualifications Required for your Position:
- AUSTSWIM Registration (Valid for 3 years)
- DHS – working with children’s check issued July 2019 onwards (Valid for 5 years)
- National Police Clearance (Valid for 3 years)
- 7-Hour Child Safe Environment Training (Valid for 3 years)
- First Aid Certificate (Valid for 3 years)
- CPR (Valid for 1 year)
