Maxima are on the hunt for several experienced Library Assistants for their client based in Logan Central.
These roles will see you assisting the Regional Librarian/ Digital Services Librarian in the provision of consistently exceptional customer service to library customers.
On offer we have $34.00 p/hr + super with around 30 hours available across 6 days per week. Some evening work up to 8pm may be required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist library customers by answering routine enquiries and general requests for information
- Provide library customers with assistance in their routine use of the library’s digital and technology resources
- Assist library customers in the basic use of the library’s self-service facilities
- Contribute to the delivery of library services by undertaking various routine tasks including customer service, shelving and the checking in and out of library items
- Undertake general library administrative duties to support customer service by assisting with membership, bookings, reservations, collection lists, item repairs and answering routine phone enquiries
About You:
- Public library experience
- Demonstrated digital literacy skills including experience using computers, knowledge of Microsoft applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Capacity to assist customers in the use of library digital resources
- Demonstrated ability and commitment to providing an exceptional customer experience to a diverse range of people
- Current C class driver’s license
