Our client is seeking an experienced a Mechanical Fitter to join their team in Kwinana for a 6 month period, with a possible extension.
Rotating shift roster Monday to Sunday, with shift work as required. Pay rate $79-$81 per hour subject to allocated shift.
Key Duties:
- Planned and breakdown mechanical maintenance support
- Completion of programmed inspections of mechanical equipment and machinery to achieve safe and reliable operations
- Using dogging and rigging skills and experience to assist with safe and sufficient wire and grab changes
- Performing breakdown repairs
- Maintenance of conveyors, ship loaders, stackers and associated mobile equipment
- Routine servicing and maintenance of heavy industry equipment
Qualifications:
- Relevant mechanical trade qualification
- Rigging and dogging tickets and demonstrated rigging experience
- Forklift license
- EWP
- Confined space
- Working at heights
Technical Skills / Experience:
- Ability to work shift work and irregular hours
- Good interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Good customer focus and liaison skills
- Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety principles
- Flexibility and preparedness to ensure success of group
- Computer literacy skills
