The Role:
Location: Metro Adelaide SA
Duration: 48-month Apprenticeship
As a Painter Apprentice, you will work within private industry across residential sites, learning all aspects of Painting and Decorating techniques.
Under the guidance of experienced mentors, your responsibilities will include:
- Prepare surfaces (sanding, filing, caulking)
- Protect surfaces (varnish, stain, wallpaper)
- Paint a range of surfaces to a high standard
- Colour match
- Interpret plans
- Maintain and decorate surfaces
About You:
To be successful in this Apprenticeship, you will need:
- High attention to detail
- Possess good physical fitness to perform manual tasks
- Be committed, reliable and hardworking
- Display initiative, manage and prioritise time and tasks effectively
- Work effectively as part of a team and follow directions
Eligibility Criteria:
- Current driver’s licence with reliable vehicle
- Be physically fit and healthy due to manual labour work
- Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment assessment including a drug and alcohol test
- Completed a Certificate II in Construction Pathways or similar (desirable)
