Painter Apprenticeship

The Role:

Location: Metro Adelaide SA
Duration: 48-month Apprenticeship

As a Painter Apprentice, you will work within private industry across residential sites, learning all aspects of Painting and Decorating techniques.

Under the guidance of experienced mentors, your responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare surfaces (sanding, filing, caulking)
  • Protect surfaces (varnish, stain, wallpaper)
  • Paint a range of surfaces to a high standard 
  • Colour match
  • Interpret plans
  • Maintain and decorate surfaces 

About You:

To be successful in this Apprenticeship, you will need:

  • High attention to detail
  • Possess good physical fitness to perform manual tasks
  • Be committed, reliable and hardworking
  • Display initiative, manage and prioritise time and tasks effectively
  • Work effectively as part of a team and follow directions

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Current driver’s licence with reliable vehicle
  • Be physically fit and healthy due to manual labour work
  • Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment assessment including a drug and alcohol test
  • Completed a Certificate II in Construction Pathways or similar (desirable)
