We are currently looking for an immediate start for an experienced Payroll Officer to work closely with the finance/HR teams.
This opportunity will be approximately up to 3 months with a potential to become a permanent position.
About the role:
- Oversees and manages the payroll process
- End to end processing of fortnightly payroll
- Preparation and timely delivery of pay slips
- Ensures employee and compliance obligations are adhered to including taxation, superannuation, salary packaging and external agencies within deadlines
- Maintains and updates payroll data and records
- Calculates special payments, prepares and analyses reports and carries out audits as required
- Assist with running all periodic payroll functions and generate required reports including month-end and year-end reconciliations
- Preparation of all tax obligations, including PAYG tax, Superannuation and Guarantee contributions
- Processing all salary deduction including salary sacrifice transfers
- Ensuring compliance with relevant employees’ enterprise agreement, award and legislation
About you:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as payroll professional or in a Senior Payroll position
- Understanding of Modern Awards (specifically Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010)
Essential Requirement:
- NDIS Worker Clearance or willing to obtain one
