Maxima’s Recruitment Services are seeking a qualified Pest and weed Technician for role within a Northern suburbs Councils.
These casual positions come with Fulltime hours. Monday to Friday 9day fortnight for the right applicants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pest and Weed Control for Verges, Kerbs/Gutters, Medians, Alleyways, Fence Lines, Firebreaks and Mulched areas
- Broad Leaf spraying of ovals and irrigated and non-irrigated reserves.
- Control of Pest Plants within monitored areas.
- Use of Fogging Machine (tracking and eradicating bees and wasps
- Whipper Snipping and Mechanical Edging.
- Hand Weeding, Hedging and minor Pruning.
- Herbicide and Pesticide control and use.
About You: Essential
- Certificate 3 in Conservation and Land Management (Grade 3 Pest and Weed Management) Essential
- Current MR Truck Licence Essential
- HR/HC Truck licence. Desirable
- Front end loader licence Desirable
- Skid steer licence Desirable
- Roller licence Desirable
- Excavator licence Desirable
About you continued:
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in pest and weed control.
- Hold all the appropriate licences to undertake Pest and Weed control.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with plant equipment.
- Good organisation and time management skills.
- Understanding of Horticultural practices.
- Experience in similar work environment.
- Front Dec Mower experience and Tractor/Slashing experience.
