Location: Southeastern Suburbs of Adelaide, SA 
Position Type: Casual positions through Maxima Labour Hire. Full-time hours available, Monday to Friday. 
Hourly Rate: $35.25ph + Super

Role Overview
In this position, you will be responsible for preparing, digging, and backfilling graves while ensuring the presentation of grave sites before and after burials. You will join a supportive team and gain valuable skills and knowledge in a rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake a range of burial related activities and services
  • Operate excavator, front end loader, MR trucks and other similar machinery
  • Prepare sites for burials, including grave excavation and backfilling of graves
  • Preparation and dressing of vaults for burials
  • Assisting with Pall Bearing duties
  • Leveling of graves and cemetery grounds
  • Handling floral tributes on graves
  • Managing excess site soil
  • Engage in manual handling and general labouring tasks
  • Adhere to strict WHS procedures
  • Assist and interact with families, visitors and the public being aware of the sensitive nature of our environment
  • Working as an effective team member
  • Perform routine maintenance on burial equipment 
  • Maintain qualifications, licenses, skill and competencies relevant to the role

Requirements:

  • Full Driver’s License (manual vehicle)
  • MR Truck License (essential)
  • Excavator Ticket (essential)
  • White Card – Construction Industry Card (essential)
  • Ability to pass a fitness and drug/alcohol test
  • National Police Clearance (willingness to obtain)
  • Knowledge or experience in construction and/or civil
