The Role:
Location: Metro Adelaide SA
Duration: 48-month full time Apprenticeship
As a Plasterer Apprentice, you will work across various commercial and residential sites, assisting in the quality service of making, applying, and fixing the internal linings of buildings. This is a great opportunity to build a long-term career in the construction industry.
Under the guidance of experienced mentors, your responsibilities will include:
- Install plasterboard wall and ceiling sheets
- Mix and prepare plastering materials
- Fix wet area sheets
- Manually finish plasterboard joins and flushing
- Construct and install bulkheads and decorative mouldings
- Read and interpret building plans and specifications
- Travel between worksites (travel allowance may be claimable, conditions apply)
About You:
To be successful in this Apprenticeship, you will:
- Enjoy hands on work and practical learning
- Follow instructions with a strong willingness to learn
- Show strong attention to detail, ensuring quality outcomes
- Be physically fit to handle manual tasks
- Be reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
Role Requirements:
- Driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Good physical fitness to perform manual tasks
- Be willing to complete a pre-employment assessment including a drug and alcohol screen
- Completed a Certificate II in Doorways to Construction or similar (desirable)
