The Role:
Location: Metro Adelaide
Duration: 48-month Apprenticeship
As a Plasterer Apprentice, you will work across various commercial and residential sites, assisting to provide the quality service of making, applying, and fixing the internal linings of buildings.
Under the guidance of experienced mentors, your responsibilities will include:
- Fix plasterboard wall and ceiling sheets
- Mix plastering components
- Fix wet area sheets
- Finish plasterboard joins manually and flushing
- Construct and install bulkheads and moulding
- Apply basic levelling procedures
- Read and interpret plans and specifications
- This role will require travel between work sites across Metropolitan Adelaide
About You:
To be successful in this Apprenticeship, you will need to:
- Love working hands-on
- Able to follow directions and a willingness to learn
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Possess good physical fitness to perform manual tasks
- Strong track record of being punctual, reliable, and hardworking
Eligibility Criteria:
- Provisional or full driver’s licence with reliable vehicle
- Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment assessment, including a drug and alcohol test
- Previous on-site carpentry or labouring experience (desirable)
- Completed a Certificate II in Doorways to Construction or similar (desirable)
