Production Technician

About the role:
This is a full time casual role, working Monday to Friday. Paying $50/hr casual.

Reporting to the Production Support Manager, the Production Technician is responsible for the below duties:

  • Operate production equipment in line with standard operating procedures and Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements.
  • Follow Quality Management System (QMS) procedures and work instructions.
  • Record production data accurately to support continuous improvement.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance and basic equipment repairs.
  • Support warehousing and materials‑handling activities, including forklift operation where licensed.
  • Use computer‑based systems to complete production and reporting tasks.
  • Work collaboratively to meet daily production targets.

About You:

  • Relevant trade qualification, Certificate III/IV, Associate Degree, or higher.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Sound understanding of workplace safety principles.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
  • Competent computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative and accountability.
  • Flexibility to work extended shifts and overtime during peak production periods.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing practices, including 5S, continuous improvement, and standardized work (desirable)
  • Exposure to SAP or other ERP systems (desirable)
  • Current forklift license (LF) (desirable)
