Quality Assurance Assistant

About the Role:
Maxima’s valued client is currently looking for a Quality Assurance Assistant. This role is starting out as a temporary (casual) position, with the view to go permanent for the right candidate. Working as part of the Quality Assurance team and reporting to the Quality Assurance manager, this role is a full time opportunity for a candidate with previous lab experience.

Based near Salisbury South, this role holds the following responsibilities:

  • Assist in performing routine inspections and tests on incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
  • Document inspection results and communicate findings to the Quality Manager.
  • Release intermediate products for further processing and final products to the market.
  • Maintain accurate records of quality checks, test results, and non-conformances.
  • Update quality management system (QMS) documentation as directed by the Quality Manager.
  • Assist in preparing for internal and external audits by gathering necessary documentation and records.
  • Help ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
  • Perform a wide range of duties including work which is incidental or peripheral to the main functions as directed by the Quality Assurance Manager.

About You:

  • Laboratory experience (required)
  • Relevant qualification
  • Familiarity with QMS standards such as ISO 9001 or ISO 13485
  • Quality Control/Assurance experience highly regarded
  • Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Exceptional written communication skills
  • Experience in maintaining accurate records
  • Ability to pass a medical clearance (to be organised for the successful candidate prior to onboarding)
