Our client is seeking an experienced Resource Recovery and Cleansing Team Leader to lead and develop teams delivering essential waste management and street cleansing services. The successful candidate will oversee resource recovery operations, manage the Recycling Centre and Containers for Change refund point, and drive continuous improvement across service delivery, compliance, and financial sustainability.
- Lead and develop teams to deliver high-quality resource recovery and cleansing services across Fremantle
- Manage operational and capital budgets, procurement, contract management, and compliance monitoring
- Drive performance improvement through data analysis, process optimisation, and effective stakeholder engagement
Preferred Requirements
- Proven experience leading and developing teams in waste management, resource recovery, or related municipal services
- Strong knowledge of waste management practices, recycling operations, and compliance frameworks
- Demonstrated capability in budget management, procurement, and contract administration
- Ability to analyse performance data, identify improvement opportunities, and implement operational changes
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across internal teams and external partners
Preferred Qualifications
- Qualification in Business Management, Environmental Science, Waste Management, or a related discipline
- Current or recent experience in a local government or public sector environment
- Certification in project management, lean process improvement, or environmental compliance
- HR license preferrable
