Position: Senior Project Communications Officer
Location: Shailer Park
Pay Rate: $58 – $61/hr + super
Contract: Mon – Fri, 38 hrs a week until Feb 2025 with possibility of extension
Maxima’s Recruitment Services is currently seeking highly motivated individual for Senior Project Communications Officer for one of our clients.
Primary Role Purpose: Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Project Communications Officer to join our client’s Road Infrastructure Delivery branch. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage strategic communications and community engagement initiatives for road and drainage infrastructure projects.
In this role, you will:
- Develop and implement community engagement strategies for complex infrastructure projects
- Provide expert communications advice to councillors and stakeholders
- Manage diverse communication engagement projects, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met
- Collaborate with technical staff to identify engagement opportunities
- Develop a wide range of communications tools to meet community needs
- Respond to community inquiries and complaints related to projects
- Provide guidance and training to staff on effective communications and engagement
Qualifications and Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in Marketing or Communications
- Substantial experience in stakeholder engagement for complex infrastructure projects
- IAP2 Certificate in Public Participation or Engagement (desirable)
- Thorough knowledge of community engagement strategies
- Advanced interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Strong project management and problem-solving abilities
- Current “C” class driver’s license
- General Safety Induction (Construction Industry) ticket
- Ability to pass a National Police History Check
- Experience in project design and delivery support for a council, government, or road authority (highly desirable)
