Senior Project Engineer

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our team on a temporary basis. As a Senior Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of their major project, overseeing the end-to-end execution of complex work packages that range from advanced dry bulk handling systems to critical landside infrastructure. What you will bring:
 
– Lead the delivery of high-value work packages from design to handover

– Manage the performance of engineering and construction contractors

– Ensure seamless integration of new assets with live port operations

Preferred Requirements:

• End-to-end delivery of assigned work packages, including detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and final handover
• Effective management of engineering and construction contractors, resolving commercial issues while maintaining seamless integration with live port operations
• Development of technical specifications, scopes of work, and tender documentation to meet stringent operational requirements
• Monitoring of key project performance indicators, including schedule progress and budget adherence, as well as proactive management of project risks
• Coordination with operational teams to ensure the successful integration of new assets, such as conveyor systems or storage domes, without disrupting essential bulk trade services

Preferred Qualifications:

• A degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
• 10+ years of demonstrated experience in project management, construction management, or engineering design within heavy industry
• Proven ability in writing technical reports, specifications, and statements of work, with a deep understanding of engineering design and safety standards
