Our client is seeking a Senior Refund Point Operator to lead its Containers for Change depot and commercial collection services.
- Manage and supervise a team of up to ten refund point operators, developing rosters, timesheets, and staffing levels
- Lead all aspects of depot operations, from sorting and counting containers to cash handling, data collection, and financial reconciliation
- Build relationships with commercial customers, event organisers, charities, and community groups to grow the scheme and increase container volumes
Preferred Requirements
- Proven supervisory or team leadership experience, with the ability to manage and develop staff effectively
- Strong customer service skills and experience engaging with diverse stakeholders, including community members and commercial partners
- Competence in data collection, record-keeping, and financial transactions, including cash handling and reconciliation
- Physical fitness and willingness to perform manual handling tasks, operate machinery (forklift, van, high-pressure cleaner, bin tipper), and work in varying outdoor conditions
- Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and after-hours support for City initiatives and events, and to adapt to changing operational needs
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal supervisory or team management qualification, or demonstrated equivalent experience in a leadership role
- Forklift licence or willingness to obtain one
- First Aid certification or willingness to complete training
