Maxima’s Recruitment Services team are on the hunt for a Senior Waste Contracts and Projects Officer for an assignment based in Browns Plains.
This position will see you working with our client, a well-known local council with the possibility of extensions up to 12 months for the right candidate with a casual hourly pay rate of $58.06 + super.
Managing waste and recycling contracts and projects you will:
- Plan and oversee service agreements
- Work with contractors and stakeholders to ensure services are fit for purpose
- Provide expert advice on contract, procurement and development matters
- Resolve service issues and escalated enquiries
- Assess contractor performance
- Support customers with waste collection arrangements
- Prepare reports and advice for decision-makers
- Review development applications and policies to improve waste systems
About You:
- A relevant qualification with a combination of experience, expertise and competence sufficient to perform all duties of the position
- Sound understanding of current waste and recycling related policy, legislation and operational service delivery issues
- Contract management experience
- Operational project management experience
- Strong understanding of administration and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to prioritise workload
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
