Our client is seeking a reliable and hardworking Truck Driver / Labourer to join their Construction Maintenance team, supporting the Footpath Team. This temporary opportunity offers hands-on outdoor work, contributing to the maintenance and improvement of community infrastructure, including footpaths, paving, concreting, and street furniture installations.
About the Role
Working within a busy construction maintenance environment, you will be responsible for a combination of truck driving and labouring duties to support the delivery of civil maintenance projects. This role offers a varied workload and the opportunity to work as part of a collaborative and safety-focused team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Paver installation and footpath construction works
- Concreting and general civil maintenance activities
- Installation of street furniture and public infrastructure
- Operating and driving work vehicles to transport materials and equipment
- Assisting with site preparation, clean-up, and general labouring tasks
- Maintaining safe work practices and adherence to site procedures
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:30am to 3:30pm
About You
You are a dependable team player who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in delivering quality work. You have experience in civil construction, maintenance, labouring, or similar environments and are committed to maintaining a safe and productive workplace.
Required Skills and Experience
- Current MR (Medium Rigid) Driver’s Licence minimum requirement (HR Licence highly regarded)
- Current White Card
- Previous experience in labouring, civil construction, maintenance, or related industries
- Experience with paving, concreting, footpath construction, or similar works highly desirable
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor environments
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
