Position: Welder / Sheet Metal Worker
Location: Marsden
Hourly Rate: $50.00 + super
Maxima’s Recruitment Services is currently seeking highly motivated individual as a Welder / Sheet Metal Worker for one of our government clients.
Primary Role Purpose: To utilise trade qualified knowledge and skills in the workshop to fabricate, modify and maintain high industry standards while ensuring maximum efficiency and effectiveness of vehicles, plant and equipment with minimum downtime.
- Carry out welding repairs, new fabrications and compile estimates for jobs
- Carry out annual inspections of metal structures
- Assist in the mechanical servicing and maintenance of plant and equipment
- Actively maintain a high standard of safety in the workshop
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Well-developed knowledge and extensive practical experience consulting and advising on MMAW. GMAW and GTAW process’s
- Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team, including a high level of self-motivation and initiative, and the ability to work autonomously
- Ability to read fabrication drawings
- Confident with MIG welding
Qualifications:
- Boiler making/ sheet metal trade certificate
- Current QLD Class C Driver’s license (HR license advantageous)
- General Safety Construction Induction Ticket
