Employment Supports
Maxima’s NDIS Employment supports can assist you to develop skills and grow in your chosen career through Youth Employment, formerly named School Leaver Employment Support (SLES), or NDIS Finding and Keeping a Job (FKAJ) supports.
Youth Employment supports for school leavers, offers personalised activities to help you move from school to work. People of all ages that have an employment goal listed in their plan, can access the Finding and Keeping a Job supports, to learn new skills and get ready for work. Our flexible options offer you the chance to explore a range of work experiences and develop skills to help you get a job that’s right for you.
Youth Employment
We understand leaving school and entering the workforce or undertaking further training can be daunting. If you are a school leaver and are eligible for NDIS then we can help you develop skills to transition into employment.
Our Youth Employment services are built around helping you through all stages, from preparing for employment to finding a job and keeping it long-term! Our Maxima NDIS consultants will help you choose the supports that best suit your needs and create an individualised program, so you achieve your goals.
What is involved?
Maxima Youth Employment program can support you with:
• Work experience and on the job training to gain practical skills to help you secure your dream job or get started in the industry you want to be in!
• Develop life skills such as budgeting and travel training
• Develop soft skills such as communication, self-advocacy and working with others to assist you in building professional relationships at work
• Industry tasters and vocational training to help match you to the perfect job
• Flexible Delivery, so you can receive Youth Employment support 1:1 with a Maxima consultant, in a group or a mix of both!
NDIS Finding and Keeping a Job (FAKAJ)
‘Finding and Keeping a Job’ supports are designed to help you on your journey into employment.
Once you secure a role, we also offer continued support to help you remain employed and build a career. Our flexible options offer you the chance to explore a range of work experiences and develop employability skills.
What is involved?
Maxima’s FAKAJ program can support you with:
• Working out what kind of job or industry you want to work in
• Networking with employers
• Applying for jobs and navigating the recruitment process
• Finding and finishing training to help you get the job you want
• Skills development such as budgeting, time management, travel and workplace
expectations training
Am I eligible?
To be eligible for NDIS Employment support programs, you must have one of the below listed in your NDIS plan:
• “Finding and Keeping a Job” or
• “School Leaver Employment Support”
