As a provider of the Inclusive Employment Australia service, we will help you find roles that suit your skills and interests, access training and development to grow your career, and receive the workplace adjustments and support you need to succeed.
We also help employers feel confident about hiring people living with a disability, injury or health condition to join their team.
What Is Inclusive Employment Australia?
Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) is a new specialist disability employment program is the new name for Disability Employment Services (DES). It’s a new specialised employment program to help Australians with a disability, injury or health condition prepare for, find, and succeed in work.
What are the benefits of Inclusive Employment Australia?
Inclusive Employment Australia opens up more opportunities for people with disability to find and keep meaningful work. Participants will receive tailored, long-term support from providers like Maxima who understand your needs and goals. There are no time limits on participation, and you can stay with us for as long as you need – even if you’re working only a few hours a week.
Am I eligible for Inclusive Employment Australia services?
To be eligible you must be:
- Living with a disability, an injury or a health condition that affects your ability to work.
- Aged at or above the minimum legal working age in your state/territory and aged no older then 67 years.
- An Australian resident.
- Not studying full time (unless you are an Eligible School Leaver).
- Not working at or above your Services Australia assessed work capacity.
- Able to work up to 30 hours per week (with support if needed).
Note: You do not need to be receiving an Income Support Payment to access Inclusive Employment Australia services.

- Work Experience and Exposure – Try out different jobs through work experience, volunteering or virtual reality experiences.
- Career Preparation – Get ready for work with interview practice, job search support, and help designing a job that matches your strengths.
- Learning and Skills – Build your confidence with online learning, training, and support in reading, writing and numeracy.
- Support Services – We can assist with personal or workplace challenges, connect you to wellbeing programs, and help you build money management skills.
- Guest Speakers – Hear from disability employment experts, employers, and people living with disability who share stories, advice, motivation and opportunities to explore.

Once you’re in work, we’ll continue to support you to succeed and grow.
- Job Support – Get guidance and ongoing support on and off the job when you need it.
- Employer Liaison – We work with your employer to make sure your job fits your needs, including adjustments, advocacy and workplace modifications.
- Career Growth – Receive advice and access training to help you progress in your career.
- Funding & Resources – Access tools and resources to keep building your skills.
- Skills & Training – Continue learning through training and skills support to strengthen your abilities.
- Support Services – We will continue to offer help with personal or workplace challenges.
